33rd Annual Exhibition - Celebrating Pastels in Australia

The Pastel Society of Victoria, Australia (also known as the PSVA) has been holding its annual exhibitions since its inception in 1986. The Annual Exhibition is designed to showcase the talents & skills of the members of the Society and the quality of the works exhibited is extremely high. In 2020, we are holding our Annual Exhibition online for the first time, and hosting it through Gallery247.

Works are entered in a number of categories including Landscape (includes Cityscapes), Waterscape, Portrait/Figurative, Still Life/Floral/Interior, Animal/Wildlife & Abstract/Non-Representational. Prizes are awarded in each of these categories, as well as Best in Show, Runner Up Best in Show, The PSVA Award, Margaret Lourey Award and President's Choice.

Pastel is a particularly robust medium and has been used in the fine art world for centuries. More about Pastel as a fine art medium can be found on this link.

Our Members this year will be able to create or enhance their online presence, enter more paintings than was possible in our previous (physical) exhibitions and to have their paintings viewed & for sale to a world-wide audience through Gallery247. If you would like to enter our Annual Exhibition, you will need to become a Member. Signing up for Membership is easy, just go to our Membership webpage on the PSVA website for more information - you will find our Membership Application & Renewal Form there.

All entries for this year's 33rd Annual Exhibition will be made available online for viewing, after the announcement of Awards at our Opening Night on 5 October 2020.
